Mbappe and Rudiger Clash Sparks Dressing Room Chaos Before El Clasico

Reports of unrest have emerged within Real Madrid, with senior figures Kylian Mbappe and Antonio Rudiger linked to separate confrontations in recent weeks. With a decisive El Clasico against Barcelona approaching, the mood at Valdebebas has reportedly dropped significantly.

The first incident dates back to April, when Rudiger was said to have been involved in a heated exchange with a teammate during training. According to The Athletic, the German defender initiated the argument, unsettling a squad already dealing with disappointment following their Champions League elimination by Bayern Munich.

Although Rudiger later issued an apology and sought to repair relationships by organizing a lunch for players and their families, the episode contributed to a strained environment heading into the closing stages of the campaign. Despite the clash, no formal disciplinary action has been taken against him, though the matter continues to circulate internally.

Tension has also extended beyond the players, with Mbappe reportedly clashing with a member of Alvaro Arbeloa’s coaching staff. During a training session, the French forward allegedly reacted angrily toward a staff member acting as an assistant referee after being flagged offside.

It is claimed that Mbappe used insulting language during the exchange, adding to concerns about friction between him and the technical setup. This follows earlier indications of dissatisfaction, including visible frustration during a recent substitution.

Another source of controversy has been Mbappe’s trip to Italy and Sardinia while recovering from a hamstring issue. His absence during a victory over Espanyol drew criticism from some within the club, who viewed the trip as poorly timed during a crucial period.

However, Mbappe’s representatives rejected the criticism, stating that his recovery was closely monitored by the club and that interpretations of his actions did not reflect his dedication or daily efforts for the team.

Arbeloa has publicly attempted to downplay the situation, explaining that players are free to use their personal time as they wish. He also emphasized that all injury-related planning is overseen by the club’s medical staff, who determine when players are required at Valdebebas.

Even so, reports indicate that Arbeloa is privately dissatisfied with how the situation has been managed. Attention now turns to whether Mbappe will be available for the upcoming clash at the Camp Nou.
