'Get rid now!' — Plymouth told to ditch manager Wayne Rooney as fans blast 'clueless' Man Utd legend after his team are humiliated yet again

Fans want Wayne Rooney to leave Plymouth and have lambasted the "clueless" Manchester United veteran following a 4-0 defeat by Bristol.

After a dreadful evening at Carrow Road, where they were defeated 6-1 by Norwich, Rooney's side failed to turn things around and were defeated again at Ashton Gate on Saturday. Plymouth capitulated in the second half, allowing four goals in just over 33 minutes after a scoreless first half.

The setback dropped them to 21st place in the league rankings, and fans want him fired.

@YouBearsssssss: "I feel sorry for Plymouth Fans.... Rooney IS A fraud! We tried to warn you. He starts by slagging the Team off....then he starts on the Fans!! I'd get rid now before its too late He's a joke.. #PAFC #BCFC #RooneyOUT"

@JoeRendle wrote: "League one incoming. Get Dewsnip and Rooney gone ASAP. Total joke of a club at the moment."

@bsmithgreens suggested: "It was always an experiment getting Rooney, it has not worked and it's time for the board to admit they got it wrong and move forward."

@PAFCLopez wrote: "Despite what Rooney says in his press conferences it's clear we gave up before we even kicked off today. Our tactical setup in the last 10 games has been appalling, injuries will save Rooney his job for a while but relegation and his sacking is inevitable."

Whereas, @JoePJ27 wrote: "Rooney is clueless when it comes to changing tactics! Time up maybe #pafc."

Plymouth currently hold the league's poorest defensive record, having surrendered 38 goals in 18 matches. They have not won in their previous four matches and are only two points above the relegation zone, which may raise concerns in the boardroom.

Time is running out for Rooney at Plymouth, as fans want rapid results. They return to Championship play on Saturday against Oxford United.
