Real Madrid Emergency Crisis Meeting After Valverde–Tchouameni Dressing Room Fight
Real Madrid have been thrown into internal chaos after Federico Valverde was reportedly hospitalised following a serious confrontation with Aurelien Tchouameni. The situation has escalated to the point where head coach Alvaro Arbeloa has convened an emergency meeting to regain control of a dressing room rapidly losing stability.

The incident unfolded at Valdebebas on Thursday, following growing tension between the two players. It stemmed from a heated exchange on Wednesday during training over a foul, which quickly intensified into a physical altercation the next day.
According to Marca, matters worsened when Valverde allegedly refused to shake Tchouameni’s hand after their earlier disagreement. The confrontation then spilled into the dressing room, where an accidental blow left Valverde with a cut, leading him to seek treatment in an emergency room. The episode has been described internally as “very serious,” marking one of the lowest points in recent squad relations.
In response, Arbeloa has reportedly called urgent crisis talks as tensions inside the camp continue to rise. The atmosphere is said to be deeply toxic, with several players barely communicating. Reports also suggest that up to six first-team players have stopped engaging with the manager, highlighting a growing breakdown in authority.
The timing of the crisis is particularly damaging, with Real Madrid preparing for a decisive El Clasico against Barcelona. With Barcelona holding an 11-point lead at the top of La Liga, anything less than a win would confirm their rivals as champions. The club had already avoided giving Barcelona a guard of honour after defeating Espanyol, but the pressure remains intense.
Kylian Mbappe has also been drawn into the surrounding tension. Shortly after Valverde’s hospitalisation, footage showed him leaving the training ground appearing to laugh and smile, drawing criticism over his conduct. He has also faced scrutiny after being seen on a yacht in Sardinia while recovering from a muscular injury. His spokesperson defended him, insisting the criticism does not reflect his daily professionalism or commitment to the team.
As Real Madrid head toward the Camp Nou, concerns remain that the internal unrest could lead to a major collapse against a Barcelona side ready to celebrate the title at home.
