Arsenal set to offload four key players to fund striker transfer this summer

Arsenal are reportedly looking to part ways with four of their players in the upcoming summer transfer window to raise funds for a new striker. According to The Mirror, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Jorginho, Thomas Partey, and Kieran Tierney are all expected to leave, helping the club generate a "transfer war chest" for manager Mikel Arteta. While Zinchenko remains under contract for a longer period, the other players are either nearing the end of their contracts or have become surplus to requirements, making it a strategic move to reduce their wages from the club's payroll.

The Gunners have struggled with injuries to key forwards Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz earlier this season, which has highlighted the club's urgent need for attacking reinforcements. Arsenal has reportedly shown interest in several strikers, including Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyokeres and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko. However, failing to bring in a new forward this summer could cause frustration among fans, extending the club's Premier League title drought to 21 years.

In terms of departures, Kieran Tierney is anticipated to return to former club Celtic when his contract expires, while Jorginho is linked with a move to Flamengo. The futures of £17 million-rated Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey remain uncertain as Arsenal focuses on retooling their squad for the upcoming season.

Beyond the transfer news, Arsenal is preparing for their Champions League clash against PSV Eindhoven, holding a commanding 7-1 advantage from the first leg of their last-16 tie.

Arsenal's summer transfer decisions will play a crucial role in shaping their squad for the next season, with fans eagerly anticipating a fresh signing to bolster the attack and bring them closer to competing for the Premier League title.
