‎Edu Gaspar’s resignation from his position as sporting director of Arsenal came in November 2024, as he decided to take on a new challenge with Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis. Reflecting on his departure, Edu expressed deep affection for Arsenal, stating, “Arsenal will always remain in my heart. I wish the club and its supporters only good things and all the very best.”
‎With the role of sporting director now vacant, Limpar has voiced strong support for Ibrahimovic to step in and take over the position.
