‎According to The Athletic, Arsenal's interest in the 25-year-old forward is growing, with Andrea Berti, the club's new sporting director, said to be a strong admirer of the Swedish striker. Gyokeres, who is proving to be an increasingly cost-effective option, could provide a more affordable alternative to high-profile targets like Alexander Isak of Newcastle United. Additionally, RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, another option on Arsenal’s radar, has attracted significant attention from various suitors, making a move for him more complicated.
‎Gyokeres’ impressive form at Sporting CP has not gone unnoticed. In just 92 appearances, the striker has scored an impressive 85 goals. His current contract with the Portuguese club runs until 2028, though it remains uncertain how much Arsenal would need to pay to secure his services this summer.
‎The forward has been in sensational form recently, scoring eight goals in his last five matches. In the Primeira Liga this season, he has netted 30 goals in 26 games, and he has also found the back of the net six times in eight Champions League appearances. Gyokeres’ current form has made him one of the most sought-after players in European football.
‎Sporting CP remain in strong contention for domestic honors, currently sitting at the top of the Primeira Liga. The club is also preparing for a semi-final clash against Rio Ave in the Taca de Portugal. Meanwhile, Arsenal will look to maintain their momentum in the Premier League, with a London derby against Fulham scheduled for midweek.
‎As the summer transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Gyokeres and whether Arsenal can finalize a deal for the talented forward.
