‎Ronaldo, still finding the back of the net for Al-Nassr and the Portuguese national team, is actively preparing for life beyond football. His latest venture sees him joining forces with renowned British filmmaker Matthew Vaughn—whose credits include X-Men: First Class, Kingsman, and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels—to co-found UR-MARV, an independent film studio focused on high-energy storytelling and cutting-edge production.
‎“This is an exciting chapter for me, as I look ahead to new ventures in business,” Ronaldo said, underlining his ambition to build a legacy beyond the beautiful game.
‎Vaughn praised Ronaldo's ability to inspire on a global scale, stating, “Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never have written, and I look forward to creating inspiring movies with him—he’s a real-life superhero.”
‎The duo, described as “disruptive champions” in their respective fields, have already co-financed and produced two action films under the UR-MARV banner, with a third installment reportedly in development. While no official release dates have been disclosed, industry insiders say updates are expected soon.
‎This bold move into film production follows Ronaldo’s successful foray into digital media with the UR Cristiano YouTube channel, as well as his expansive business empire ranging from fashion to fitness.
‎Combining the adrenaline of sport with the thrill of cinema, UR-MARV represents not just a diversification of Ronaldo’s portfolio, but a fusion of two global storytelling forces. With Ronaldo’s star power and Vaughn’s cinematic vision, the action film world is poised to welcome a new heavyweight player.
