Pre-match preparations were disrupted when Bukayo Saka was ruled out during the warm-up, forcing a late change. Noni Madueke was called upon and wasted no time in making his presence felt, playing a pivotal role as Arsenal gradually took control.
Following a cautious opening, Madueke began to exploit space down the right wing. His quality delivery found Martin Zubimendi, who nodded home to break the deadlock. The winger then caused further chaos with a fierce corner that was punched into the net by Karl Darlow on the goal line, leaving Leeds trailing 2-0.
The visitors remained in control after halftime. Viktor Gyokeres initially failed to convert a prime chance but later atoned by racing ahead of James Justin to meet Gabriel Martinelli’s cross and score Arsenal’s third. Gabriel Jesus came off the bench late on to cap a commanding performance with a clinical fourth goal.
