Real Madrid Turmoil Opens Door for Kylian Mbappé Exit as Arsenal Linked With Stunning Move

Arsenal have been identified as a possible destination for Kylian Mbappé as uncertainty continues to grow around the forward’s future at Real Madrid. Former Arsenal and France midfielder Emmanuel Petit believes the north London club could benefit if tensions inside the Spanish giants continue to escalate.

Petit Believes Arsenal Suit Mbappe Perfectly

Petit suggested that Arsenal’s current system under Mikel Arteta would be an ideal match for Mbappe, particularly on the left side of attack. According to the former midfielder, the French superstar could fit seamlessly into the Gunners’ tactical set-up if his time in Spain comes to an unexpected end.

Speaking to BOYLE Sports, Petit said: “Arsenal would love Kylian Mbappe and he’d be perfect on their left wing. The only reason I think Mbappe will stay at Real Madrid is because if he leaves without winning a trophy it would make his move a failure. Mbappe has a huge ego so he will probably want to stay and to prove the opposite. I’m pretty sure about that. I don’t see him leaving Madrid, probably the biggest club in the world, unless the decision is made for him.”

Growing Problems Inside Real Madrid

Speculation around Mbappe’s future has intensified following reports of serious unrest within the Real Madrid squad. The atmosphere at the Bernabeu has reportedly deteriorated, with tensions between players reaching alarming levels.

One incident reportedly involved a violent training-ground altercation between Federico Valverde and Aurélien Tchouaméni, which allegedly resulted in the Uruguayan midfielder being hospitalised.

At the same time, Mbappe has also faced criticism from supporters despite maintaining strong individual numbers. Fans reportedly questioned his commitment after he was seen on holiday while recovering from injury.

That backlash quickly intensified online, with a petition demanding the forward’s departure reportedly gathering 70 million signatures.

Florentino Perez Could Decide Mbappe’s Fate

Petit believes the situation could ultimately depend on Florentino Pérez and whether the Real Madrid president decides to respond to mounting fan pressure.

“The only way he leaves is if Florentino Perez cracks under the pressure,” Petit added. “Millions of fans have signed to say they want him to leave the club. That could be the end for Mbappe because Florentino Perez is a political guy. If Arsenal win the Champions League for the first time then it would change the course of their history and send a strong message in the transfer market.”

Champions League Success Could Change Everything

Arsenal are currently preparing for a UEFA Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain, and victory could dramatically strengthen the club’s appeal in the transfer market.

Winning Europe’s biggest club competition for the first time would elevate Arsenal’s status and potentially make them an attractive option for a player of Mbappe’s calibre.

Petit concluded: “Players would of course want to play for the Champions League winners and hope they can go and win it again, it would help them attract Kylian Mbappe if he does leave Real Madrid.”

For now, Mbappe remains a Real Madrid player and could return for El Clasico, but speculation surrounding a possible move to the Premier League continues to grow.
