Carrick, who took over on January 13, has overseen an impressive run of form. Under his leadership, United have recorded 10 victories, two draws, and only two defeats across 14 matches. Amad has played a major role during that period and continues to be an important figure for the club after extending his deal until June 30, 2030.

Speaking with Sky Sports, the 23-year-old praised the relationship Carrick has built with the players. According to Amad, the interim manager’s communication and close connection with the squad have had a major influence on performances.

“I enjoy a lot playing with him [Carrick]. Honestly, he’s a good guy, talking with everyone, having good relationships with every player. That is something that helps a lot,” Amad said.

The attacker believes the biggest improvement has come from the unity now visible inside the dressing room. After making 30 appearances in all competitions this season, while contributing two goals and three assists, the Ivory Coast international explained that mistakes are no longer viewed negatively among teammates.

“I think the biggest change maybe is because the team is now more impactful. In the dressing room, we are really together, every mistake is not a problem, your mistake is my mistake, so we are a team that doesn’t care if you make a mistake, you go again, so we go forward, we want to win as a team,” he stated.

Amad also highlighted the importance of the coaching staff around Carrick. Having accumulated 2,173 minutes this season, the winger credited the group behind the scenes for bringing renewed energy and positivity to the squad.

“That’s something that changed the team, and I think it’s also because of Michael Carrick and his staff, don’t forget also Trav [interim assistant Travis Binnion], and the other staff. They are really important for the team, and they bring that kind of energy to the team, and that is very important,” he added.

With qualification for next season’s Champions League already secured, discussion is expected to grow over the managerial position at Old Trafford. Amad made it clear that the squad would welcome Carrick remaining in charge beyond the current campaign.

“Everyone is happy to have him as manager. Everyone is with him... we will be happy if we have him next season as manager.”
